Practitioners can access a 15-day AFT accredited programme in Systemic Practice as well as specific modules on domestic violence and working with adolescents.

Managers benefit from an 8-day Management and Supervision course, as well as the Lambeth Leadership Essentials programme.

We are committed to giving our social workers opportunities to progress and we have introduced an Advanced Practitioner role in 23 of our social work teams.  There are plenty of opportunities for Lambeth’s experienced social workers to apply for these roles to progress their social work career.

For those at the outset of their social work career, we have created three linked grades for the Social Worker role with progression tied to completion of the Children at the Heart of Practice training.  Social Workers progress yearly through our scales with training completion enabling you to reach the higher grades.

Our specialist teams also provide social workers with an opportunity to try something new such as working in a school or in a different service.
